Website without Certificate in Microsoft Edge

Q

Why am I not getting the properties icon on some Websites in Microsoft Edge? I see the exclamation icon next to the Website address.

A

If you are visiting a Website that is using HTTP protocol with a certificate, Microsoft Edge will display the exclamation icon instead the properties icon.

If you click on the exclamation icon, you see the "Your connection to this site isn't secure" warning message and additional informaiton.

The following example shows you that the localhost Website is running without any certificate.
